They were travelling from Polokwane to Lebwakgomo to drop off Onthatile and her mother before Shebeshxt headed to perform at an ANC rally. Unfortunately, the journey took a tragic turn, resulting in the loss of his daughter.

The rising singer suffered a broken leg, an abdominal fracture, and head injuries. He is currently receiving treatment and undergoing tests. Initially, it seemed Shebeshxt might not have been aware of his daughter’s death, as he only mentioned his girlfriend.

However, Mpho revealed that her son did acknowledge his daughter’s passing in a conversation with his friends.

“When I heard him talking only about his girlfriend, I thought maybe he was not aware until yesterday when he mentioned to his friends that he was aware that his daughter is no more,” said Chauke.

Despite the overwhelming grief, Mpho Chauke expressed her gratitude for the love and support shown to her son during this difficult time. The community’s support has been a source of strength for the family as they navigate this heartbreaking period.
